xBraided Gardenia Tree: A Classic With a Twist
All the fragrance of a classic gardenia—now with a little extra personality. The Braided Gardenia Tree takes everything people love about ‘Aimee’ and adds a sculptural braided trunk that turns this plant into a living centerpiece. It blooms early, smells incredible, and looks polished even when it’s not in flower.
Large, double white blooms arrive ahead of most gardenias, releasing that rich, unmistakable perfume right when the season starts warming up. The glossy, deep green foliage keeps things looking clean and structured, while the braided trunk adds height and visual interest—perfect for patios, entryways, or anywhere you want a little elegance with your greenery.
Trained into a tree form, this gardenia stays compact and manageable, typically reaching 4–6 feet tall. It’s a natural fit for containers, especially in cooler climates where you can bring it indoors before frost and keep enjoying the fragrance a little longer.
Why You’ll Love the Braided Gardenia Tree

- Highly fragrant – classic gardenia scent, rich and noticeable
- Perfect for containers – easy to move indoors in cooler climates
- Great near entryways – enjoy the fragrance every time you pass by
- Compact tree form – ideal for patios, porches, and small spaces

Growing Notes
Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy—aim for evenly damp, like a wrung-out sponge. Place in bright light with some protection from harsh afternoon sun. In colder regions, grow in a container and bring indoors before frost to protect blooms and foliage. A little care goes a long way with this one, and it pays you back in fragrance and form.
