Wolf Urine
In the wild, coyotes avoid wolf territory completely. Wolves are their primary ecological competitor and a genuine physical threat. When a coyote detects wolf urine, the message registers as an active territorial claim by a dominant predator. This is not a learned response that coyotes can reason around. It is a deep biological instinct. Apply wolf urine along fence lines, near entry points, and around livestock areas to establish a scent boundary coyotes will not willingly cross.
Mountain Lion Urine
Mountain lion urine provides a strong secondary deterrent option for properties where coyote pressure is persistent or where wolf urine benefits from a rotating complement. Coyotes and mountain lions share overlapping territory across much of North America, and coyotes naturally avoid areas marked by mountain lion scent. Use it as an alternative coyote spray repellent along perimeter lines, around outbuilding entries, and near areas where coyotes have been spotted approaching your property.
