Ruby Red Weigela is a breathtaking deciduous shrub that grows skyward. It has a slightly oval-shaped, dark green foliage.It loses its leaves during Fall and fresh leaves will grow during Spring. From April to May, this stunning tree blooms a lot of red flowers that wrap almost all its leaves. Its trumpet-like flowers are well-loved by bees and hummingbirds. It is ideal to use it as a border, hedge or as a specimen plant. It can grow up to 8 feet high and spreads up to 6 feet wide. It loves full sun to partly shade and performs best in moist and well-drained soils. Make sure that your Ruby Red Weigela will get at least 4 hours of sunlight. It is tolerant to diseases and doesn't need regular pruning. Don't forget to water it heavily one a week to keep the soil moist, especially during dry season.
